Chichibu tasting notes
CHICHIBU NEWBORN HEAVILY PEATED, 61.4% ABV
(Cask No. 452 - bottled in 2009)
Nose: Sweet peat, plasticine and fish oil. Surely an infant Islay?
Palate: Offers butter and pears, becoming steadily smokier, with background dark fruit.
Finish: Kippery. Notably drier with water, and the plasticine note from the nose returns. GAVIN SMITH
